The Midwest Referee Society will be having the next Clinic on Saturday, February 16, hosted my our friends in the Minnesota Referee Society.

For those who have not had the pleasure to attend previous clinics, it is intended for ALL Midwest based referees, not just referees at the MW level.

Our Society will pitch in 150 towards going to the clinic. This should easily cover the cost of airfare so it should be very little out of pocket for a weekend of talking rugby and enjoying the company of our fellow referees from around the Midwest.

Here's a note from Tammy.

Greetings all,

We have been working hard to put together the details for the MW meeting.  Please, please distribute this to all of your LAU referees.  Finalized details will go out soon about hotels, but the clinic is planned for Saturday the 16th of February.  It is planned to be an interactive event - hands on, less classroom with seminars on fitness, line-outs, tackle AND any other suggestions that I receive from YOU!

We hope to have a good group of our referee coaches there for a specialized session along with our LAU Society chairs and administrators to discuss some of the administrative issues such as payment, recruitment and retention and assignments.

Our annual AGM will also be that day!  Full day.

Saturday's session will be at a local high school with a gym facility available.  We are working on bringing in local teams for our hands-on activities.  The hotel will be on the light rail so those of you flying in will NOT need cars.  The school is also on the light rail.  Lunch will be brought in.  We will organize a dinner for Saturday night...always a fun event!

I am sending this to a  quick list and would appreciate if if you could distribute it to your referees AND let me know an anticipated number of attendance.  Our "gift" is size specific so we will need to finalize the numbers sooner rather than later.

In rugby,
